Isaac Brock's Tilapia
In a shallow saucepan, cook a handful of garlic cloves in olive oil over low heat until soft. Pour in 1 can whole coconut milk, stir and let simmer. As the coconut oils separate, add approx. 1 cup unsweetened, shredded coconut. Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring often until sauce thickens. Add salt to taste.
Gently lay tilapia filets into the pool of sauce, add a dash of cumin and let simmer for 15–20 minutes. (Due to the flaky consistency of tilapia, halibut cheeks—which are firmer in texture and therefore hold together—may be substituted.)
CABBAGE CRUNCH
In a shallow pan, roast 2 cups whole almonds in 2 Tbsp. sesame oil over low-medium heat.
Add red cabbage, garlic, green onion, Sri Racha chili sauce and Bragg’s Amino Acids to taste in large Cuisinart.
Once almonds are through roasting, remove from heat and add to Cuisinart.
Dice well.
CUMIN BLACK BEANS
Add 2 cans organic black beans with juices to medium saucepan, cook over low-medium heat.
Add approx. 2 Tbsp. cumin, a dash of Old Bay Seasoning, and a handful of diced, fresh cilantro.
Cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring consistently.
COCONUT CUMIN RICE
Add 1 can whole coconut milk to 1 cup white rice, stir.
As rice absorbs coconut milk, add 1 Tbsp. cumin.
Once all components are prepared, dish even portions onto plates, serve hot.
Serves 4–6.

attention attention
because blogging is just like fashion. things go out of fashion and then decades later they come back in. in our case, the novelty of blogging lasts for a couple of hours and then you have to leave it for a while. then you feel like you want to blog again.
Blogging takes a lot of work to try and think up a subject to write about and try and find some witty things to say to make your blog more entertaining because i mean seriously who wants to know about what we did on the weekend.
unless someone is secretly an alpaca farmer who just recently defected from the league of llama breeders im sure we are all really boring people. (in terms of our social lives)
luckily our minds are pretty wacked up so i guess that makes up for our social awkwardness.

HEY SCENESTERSSSS
well, define Love VS Obsession. what's the difference between intense affection and unhealthy preoccupation (w/ someone you revere). imo they're just requisites for the sort of stalking i'm trying to rustle up.
oh and uh, just in case you don't enjoy being restricted by a small rectangular box, you can post here if you want.

EXAMS!!!
I just wish that selective school did not have such high expectations of their students. It's like because of their high expectations, that the majority of people actually try and go get your shovel, and we'll dig a deep hole, to bury the castle bury the castle get good results so then the minority that don't really care or can't be bothered to study end up looking bad. so then everyone is inclined to study which means you have to try even harder so that everyone can get above the average.
ARGG. this is reason I don't go on msn often. trying to blog and still reply to people often enough that doesn't make them think I'm ignoring them. I'M BUSY PEOPLE. IT'S ON MY STATUS.
I'm not like Stuart and is permanently busy so you don't know if i really am busy.
And then its just an endless cycle of acting like STRESS. And then you get people like Maggie who looks so relaxed but do so well. I HATE YOU MAGGIE... in an endearing way. you also have people like Dietrich who really don't care and it's like "I want to be like that" but you can't because of the high expectations that the school has which then transfers to you parents because they look at your report and go all "Ewy, you're maths is 2% under the average" i want you to do better. NOT EVERYONE CAN BE ABOVE THE AVERAGE!!!
End of "well it's true that we love one another" - white stripes is people talking in a cockney accent.
And now I'm off to make Mi Goreng!!!

middle child syndrome is NOT children being dramatic and subsequent tangents
I HATE BEING THE MIDDLE CHILD.
the middle child is always the last to be recognized and the first to be called out for doing wrong. What's worse is that I am the middle, FEMALE child with two brothers.
Also, i am not blowing things out of proportion.
The oldest always gets to do more stuff and the youngest doesn't get in trouble because "they are young and don't know the ways of the world yet.
What i hate most is when both my brothers gang up on me. It is so frustrating because they back each other up and I am left with no-one in my corner.
But whatever the matter, I still love them... and i HATE that.
I was actually sad that I missed out on my brothers high school graduation ceremony. So much stuff I've missed out on. The school principal had mentioned my brothers name in her speech and he had been ecstatic about it all day (and by all day i mean the last couple of hours in ehich he had been home, but i would guess that he was like that for most of the day).
High school graduations makes you look back at you high school life. Being in year 10 there are going to be drastic changes when tranferring into year 11. Like choices in subjects and a whole new school uniform.
Many people are reluctant to change over to the new uniform. I'm excited about it. Now people will recognize that i am in fact a senior and not just some reandom year 7. I REALLY NEED TO GROW TALLER!
Apparently there are stretches and yoga positions that will increse your height when done for a period of time. I should probably look into that seeing as how you have to be a minimum of 5'2'' to get into the Australian Army.
Though I should be careful. What with all the get taller fast schemes where you pay $60 for a book/DVD that "teaches" you how to grow taller. It's like some of those bogus weightloss programs but for short people.
I don't get how some poeple can be desperate enough to pay money for a product that would probably not do anything. I mean, short people can do all the things tall people can. It's just that some things are easier for taller people than not as tall people.
This is a remic of most of the things i would be blooging about had I not had camp this week. I am stopping it here beacuse i am getting tired plus the fact that I have to wake up at 0430 and be at school by 0545 so the buses can leave at 0600.
the next 7-8 days is going to be a pain :( FUN PAIN! but pain all the same
Also today i missed out on my brotheres graduation because i had a touch competition and the details of this when i come back from camp. But i am so pooped from that. Hills Sport should really not be allowed to play against regular schools. It's just UNFAIR.

um feel free to just gloss over this
um compared to their last 2 albums, singles are tighter and better and more singalong, the 1 ballad is acoustic and properly restrained, the filler is a lot more interesting.
musically they sorta combined the formulaic sound of their 1st, the superpop sound of their 2nd, and tweaked it a bit. biggest change here is that they have learned that not EVERY SINGLE SONG has to be close to full energy, and that sometimes acoustic guitars work better than electrics
biggest progression though is w/ the lyrics i think, i guess hayley learn that there is more to poppunk than being Avril Lavigne (acutally this is already apparent on Riot!, but it is much better done now), but yeh nearly breaking up means they have less U2-platitudes and more Looking Up/Where the Lines Overlap, and overall there is less repetitious textbook angst
so yeh everything is better this time round, though the lack of guitars doing anything other than fairly predictable riffs/chords/PM chords is holding them back imo.

I need a handicap for ninja skills
I am finding it harder and harder to evade people that i don't want to talk to. Not to be mean or anything, but there are just some people that you don't really want to start up a conversation with you because it's just going to end bad.
I am going to use this as a way into venting about people who just assume that you want to do something. Just because i/we said yes to do one thing does not mean that i/we automatically want to do other things that are somewhat related to what i/we said "yes" to previously.
So all in all, watch National Treasure 2: book of secrets and listen to Diane Kruger's rant and you'll understand vaguely what I'm talking about.
